Is This the Tackiest Gayborhood Holiday Party EVER?

Any party being promoted as “The Gayborhood’s Tackiest Holiday Affair” promises to be one thing: really good.

That’s exactly what The Bronzed Bee, the airbrush tanning and waxing boutique located on Rittenhouse Square, is aiming for when they invade U BAR for a one-night-only event aptly titled “My Big Gay Tacky Sweater Party.” The evening, which takes place on Wednesday, December 10 from 6-8PM, is a party for a purpose: guests are asked to bring a toy to benefit Toys For Tots. In exchange, you’ll be able to enjoy the tawdriest affair around.

Of course, you are expected to don your favorite gay apparel; more specifically, the hosts are asking you show up wearing your tackiest holiday sweater. There will be prizes for the “best dressed,” or, maybe a better way to put it, for the “ugliest dressed.”

There’s also a whole social media campaign for the event–you can use hashtag #GayborhoodHolidayAffair to chat about it on social media, and the organizers suggest you Facebook or Tweet the following message before you arrive at U BAR in your finest ugliness: “About to get tacky on 12/10 @UBarPhilly for the #GayborhoodHolidayAffair presented by @TheBronzedBee! #TackySweaterParty @ToysForTots_USA”
