Two Men Stabbed Outside Venture Inn in the Gayborhood
NBC10 is reporting that two men — a police officer and a bartender — were stabbed outside Venture Inn last night in the Gayborhood.
Police [say] the 49-year-old male officer was stabbed twice in the torso and once in the leg. He is a 19-year veteran of the force.
The bartender was stabbed in the chin, police said.
Both the officer and bartender were taken to nearby Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. The officer remains in the hospital in stable condition, police say. The bartender has since been released.
Police say after talking to witnesses, they believe they know who the suspect is, although they haven’t located him yet.
They were also able to locate the knife used in the stabbing.
“It appears to be some sort of hunting knife,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small. “And Central Detectives have that knife in their possession.”
So far, neither the police officer or bartender have been identified. Stay tuned to G Philly for updates.
