Your Guide to the Pocono Beverage Trail
Drink your way through the Poconos with some of the best wineries, breweries, and distilleries in the region.

The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau recently introduced a new beverage trail, a program meant to connect eager drinkers with discounts at spots across the region. While not all our favorite watering holes are yet on the list, it’s a good reminder that there’s a whole lot of sipping to be done. 1. Galen Glen Winery, Andreas
In the foothills of the Poconos, Galen Glen makes some of the state’s best white wine.
2. Barley Creek Brewing Company, Tannersville
The Poconos’ first microbrewery has grown into a veritable compound where they still brew all the beer and also produce moonshine, whiskey, rum and vodka.
3. Jam Room Brewing Company, Greentown

4. Wallenpaupack Brewing Company, Hawley
Sample Wallenpaupack’s award-winning cream ale in the modern taproom, with its wide window into the brewing room.
5. Hopping Eagle, Hawley
Stop here for small-batch barrel-aged beers, released seasonally for a constantly changing selection.
6. Here & Now Brewing, Honesdale
Seasonally inspired pizzas accompany Irish red ale and American porters in Here & Now’s tasting room.
7. Three Hammers Winery, Hawley
If you’re trying to steer clear of some of the, um, sweeter wines from other area wineries, head to Three Hammers for old-world styles.
8. Log Tavern Brewing, Milford
Log Tavern is situated in historic Milford inside, yes, a log cabin — perfect for watching snow fall.
9. Sango Kura, Delaware Water Gap
Pennsylvania’s first and only sake brewery. A rural town of about 700 people is probably the last place you’d expect to find a sake brewery, much less one inside a former Greek diner, which is where you’ll find Delaware Water Gap’s Sango Kura. The brewery and izakaya, where you can warm up with a bowl of homemade ramen alongside your fermented-rice beverage (there are nine varieties total), is one of only 24 sake breweries in North America. Want a taste before traveling there? Hit up Bing Bing Dim Sum or the Bottle Shop in East Passyunk or Izakaya by Yanaga in Fishtown.
10. Rowan Asher Winery
Locations in Tatamy and Stroudsburg offer wine, cocktails, and semi-dry hard ciders, some that are organic-chamomile-infused or finished with local maple syrup.
