Remember Jose Garces’s New Hope Restaurant? It’s Still Happening.
Stella by Jose Garces will open at the Bucks County Playhouse Inn in New Hope sometime in late spring or early summer 2019.

Jose Garces is still opening that restaurant that you might have forgotten all about since it was first announced back in 2016.
The Riverfront Revitalization Strategic Plan that made the Bucks County Playhouse Inn (50 South Main Street) renovation possible has been in development since 2008, and in November 2016, they broke ground on the project with an estimated opening in 2018. Now, after a major reconstruction of the Garces restaurant group, they’re on track for a late spring/early summer opening. A Garces rep says the company’s financial woes had nothing to do with the delay.
Stella by Jose Garces (not to be confused or associated with the other restaurant named Stella by the other major Philly restaurateur) will be a small plates American restaurant, Garces confirmed to Foobooz. It’s named after the dog of the Playhouse owners, Kevin and Sherri Daugherty.
