Longtime Philly chef and Top Chef contestant Jennifer Carroll made her return to the city with Spice Finch, a Mediterranean-influenced spot attached to Rittenhouse’s Warwick Hotel, with her fiance and co-chef/co-owner Billy Riddle this past summer. And now, she’s expanded hours to include weekday breakfast and added a new happy hour menu.

In addition to brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., Spice Finch will now offer breakfast service Monday through Friday starting at 7 a.m. and going until 10:30 a.m. (still no lunch service, which Carroll teased back when the concept first opened).

The morning menu includes breakfast classics inflected with a Mediterranean touch — pancakes topped with orange blossom-infused maple syrup, eggs with a side of merguez sausage, a breakfast sandwich slathered with spicy harissa — in addition to health-conscious items like a green smoothie bowl topped with flaxseed granola and sweet-savory cashew date truffles.

Spice Finch will also offer happy hour deals on select drinks and bar snacks from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with an extended happy hour from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Fridays. They’ll offer nibbles like spiced nuts, yogurt dip flavored with garlic or preserved lemon along with harissa crisps or fresh veggies, chicken kebabs, and blistered shishitos.

Drinks-wise, beverage director Michael Haggerty has a fresh slate of cocktails for happy hour, including Spice House Punch — a play on the Colonial-era Philly classic fish house punch made with cognac, peppermint tea, lemon juice, and peach — in addition to select beer, wine, and daily cocktails.

In terms of zero-proof drinks, they’ve added selections like the Juniper Tonic, made with juniper tincture, tonic, and rosemary, a hibiscus-infused lemonade, and a kombucha-based cocktail in addition to their non-alcoholic NA-groni, made with Sanbitter and Chinotto sparkling citrus soda.
