Philly’s First Pizza Fest Is Taking Over the Navy Yard

Eight acres of pizza and family fun on July 14th will benefit Vetri Community Partnership.

More than 30 different pizza restaurants and food trucks are taking over the Navy Yard for the inaugural Pizzadelphia Pizza Festival this Saturday, July 14th from noon to 5:30 p.m.

Top pizzaiolos from places like Nomad, Rione, Capofitto, Zavino, and of course Pizzeria Vetri will serve unlimited pizza at the event. Proceeds from the event will benefit Vetri Community Partnership, which supports healthy eating for kids and families.

In addition to eating pizza, you can learn more about ‘za with a dough tossing exhibition and demo on the science of pizza. There will be music by DJ Dan Dabber and DJ Xtina, lawn games, and face painting, plus cooking lessons for kids from the Vetri Community Partnership mobile teaching kitchen.

General admission is $40 ($45 at the door), with access to the fest’s unlimited pizza offerings, entertainment, live demos, and games. A VIP ticket for $100 in advance of $115 at the door gets you in an hour early, plus two drink tickets and access to hands-on Pizza School with Pizza Brain co-founder and pizzaiolo Joe Hunter. Kids aged four to 12 get in for $20 each. Beverages, including beer and cocktails, and Bassett’s ice cream will be available for purchase onsite.
