Good King Tavern Is Opening Its Secret Patio for the First Time Ever
They're kicking off outdoor drinking season with a Negroni Week party this Sunday, June 3rd.
Good King Tavern kept us cozy with melted cheese all winter. And now that it’s warm and the days are longer, they’ve renovated their secret back patio, adding yet another stop on your summertime outdoor drinking bucket list.
Owner Chloe Grigri has added lights, plantings, and seating to the patio, which is located down Kater Street. Grab an outdoor seat and sip wines by the glass, Kronenbourg, an Aperol spritz, or one of the house-made $5 shots — the TGK Fireball (that’s Wild Turkey, cinnamon, chili) and the TGK Kamikaze (Appleton Reserve rum, Grand Marnier, and fresh lime).
Service on the patio will debut with a Negroni Week party this Sunday, June 3rd from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is free and drinks are pay-as-you-go — a portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation, which protects oceans and beaches. Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP here.
Good King will also be ditching plastic straws — one of the worst sources of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans — in favor of biodegradable ones going forward.
Since there are no tables — only chairs — on the patio, it’s first come, first served — no reservations taken. After Sunday’s kickoff party, the patio will be open Wednesday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. this summer.
