The Pies at Brigantessa’s Underground Pizza Party Will Blow Your Mind
Ever had a vesuvio pizza? How about cannolo, or vongole (shown above)? Chefs Joe and Angela Cicala want to formally introduce you to these uncommon styles of pizza from Brigantessa’s secret menu.
On June 7 at 6:30 p.m., the couple will hold their Underground Pizza Party, featuring a full menu of Campanian street food built around wood-fired pizzas formed into delightful shapes.
Typically available only by request, the Cicalas have built an entire dinner menu around these uniquely constructed pizzas, which we wrote about when Brigantessa’s secret menu first rolled out a few years ago. (Check out the video at the link — the clam pizza is shaped like a clam and stuffed with clams! They actually set the volcano pizza on fire. It’s awesome.)
The Cicalas will also discuss a tour of the Amalfi coast that they’ll lead this September and how you can come along for village-hopping boat trips, a visit to a mozzarella di bufala farm, a pizza crawl through Naples, and cooking classes in the middle of a lemon grove, which pretty much sounds like my idea of heaven.
The pizza party costs $75 per person, which also includes a wine pairing. Check out the full menu below and call 267-318-7341 to make your reservation. Get more info about the Cicalas’ fall tour here.
