Flying Fish Crafthouse Is Set To Open
On Monday, December 5th, Brian Duffy of Spike TV’s Bar Rescue is opening Flying Fish Crafthouse in Brewerytown. The massive 191-seat restaurant is located at 363 North 31st Street at 31st and Master Streets. Duffy has partnered with New Jersey’s Flying Fish Brewing Co. and will feature American cuisine paired with local beers.
Twelve Flying Fish beers will always be on tap, joined by a curated list of other American craft beers. Additionally there will be a full bar of wine and liquor, including three wines on tap. Among the Flying Fish offerings, the Crafthouse has three exclusives including Duffified Ale, an amber ale made with five different malts. There is also a rotating selection of small batch beers previously only offered at the Flying Fish tasting room in Somerdale, New Jersey.
Duffy, a Philadelphia area native before achieving fame on Bar Rescue has created a menu of burgers and sandwiches designed to pair with the beers. He’s also aiming for personal touches and homages throughout the menu. Duffy has a burger inspired by Dana Spain of McSpain Properties called the Gucci Burger. “Spicy and classy! This is a higher level of comfort food … it’s Duffified,” says Duffy.” Yep, he said “Duffified.”
The space features two bars, brasserie seating and an indoor beer garden featuring picnic tables.
Flying Fish Crafthouse will initially serve dinner and a late night menu. Look for lunch and weekend brunch to be added down the line. Residents of The Fairmount @ Brewerytown in which the the restaurant is housed will be able to receive room service to their apartments. Duffy will also offer active military, reserve, veterans and first responders with ID a 15% discount every day.
