Here’s What You’ll be Eating at Dilworth Park this Winter
The Rothman Rink ice rink is now open for the season at Dilworth Park in front of City Hall. Next door to the popular ice rink is the corporately sponsored The Rothman Institute Cabin, which features a menu with offerings by Brûlée Catering. Among the highlights are a couple of sure to warm you up dishes including poutine, chili and funnel cake fries.
The Cabin, which is open starting at 11 a.m. daily, (drinks offered after 5 p.m.) offers wine, beer and cocktails. And on Wednesdays, the Cabin will host the winter equivalent of Center City Sips with Cocktails and Cold Ones. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. there will be $5 Jim Beam Apple and Effen Blood Orange Vodka cocktails, $4 wine, and $3 Sam Adams drafts. There will also be specially priced food items during the Wednesday happy hour.
New to Dilworth Park this year is a maze designed by Groundswell Design Group (who are known for the work at the city’s beer gardens and Morgan’s Pier. The maze is for children and adults and features willow-branch archways, evergreens, trees, perennials, shrubs, topiary sculptures and winter plantings adorned with mini-lights.
