Philadelphia History Museum Throws 70s Party with Tastykake Wine Tasting

To celebrate its 75th anniversary, the Philadelphia History Museum is throwing it back, way back. Their 6th annual Cocktails in the Courtyard event is going retro with a “Summer of ’75” theme this year.

There will be live DJs (reminding you why disco is no longer popular) and images projected showing what summer in Philly looked like in the 70’s (reminding you why short shorts had to die). The event will feature food from El Rey, Panorama, and Campo’s Deli. Drinks will be provided by Penn Rye Vodka, Dock Street Brewing Co., Saint Benjamin’s Brewery, and 2nd Story Brewery. And most importantly there will be a wine and Tastykake pairing.

The party will be held Thursday, June 16th starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are going for $30 each, $50 if you buy two, and if you’re a member you get a discounted price.

Even if you’re not a history buff, at least go to find out exactly which wine pairs best with a Krimpet.
