Spend the Day with Ela’s Jason Cichonski at “Shopping with the Chef”
Headhouse Farmers Market is entering its tenth season since opening in 2007. It is Philly’s largest open-air market and each year over 40,000 Philadelphians flock to it.
On Sunday, June 5th The Food Trust and the owner and chef of Ela, Jason Cichonski, are partnering to host Shopping with the Chef at the market as part of the year long celebration of Headhouse’s ten seasons.
Shopping with the Chef will offer a behind the scenes look at how local chefs, like Cichonski, approach their seasonal menus.
The event includes an exclusive tour of Headhouse Farmers Market with Cichonski, a three-course brunch prepared by the chef with ingredients found at the market, and cocktails with each course.
“We shop at Headhouse Farmers Market regularly,” said Cichonski. “I’m excited to show our guests how our menu is influenced by what local farmers are growing.
Call Ela at 267-687-8512 by May 31st to reserve a ticket. They cost $125 each and with only 25 seats they are bound to go quickly (especially when a chef as handsome as Cichonski is involved).
As the yearlong celebration at Headhouse Farmer’s Market continues, keep out for more cool events like this.
