Shake Shack’s Chick’n Sandwich Goes National

Beginning today, all Philadelphia area Shake Shack locations will now offer the Chick’n Shack chicken sandwich. The Chick’n Shack is made with from a hormone and antibiotic free chicken breast that is slow-cooked in a buttermilk marinade before being dipped into batter, dredged through seasoned flour and fried to crunchy goldness. The chicken breast is then topped with pickles, shredded lettuce and a buttermilk herb mayo with chives, parsley and thyme. Just like the burgers, the Chick’n Shack is served on a potato roll. Spice up the Chick’n Shack with Louisiana hot sauce, new at all Shake Shack locations.

The Chick’n Shack was tested over the summer at Shake Shack’s Brooklyn locations and gave Shake Shack zealots another product to gush over. Another Shake Shack extension that hasn’t made its way to Philadelphia yet is Shake Shack breakfast sandwiches. Initially available at the two Shacks at JFK Airport and the Grand Central Station location, breakfast has since been added to Washington D.C.’s Union Station as well as at Dubai International Airport.

The Chick’n Shack goes for $6.29 and is available at Shake Shack’s Center City, University City and King of Prussia locations.
