Holiday Treats This Month At The Rittenhouse Hotel
Lacroix restaurant at The Rittenhouse Hotel is welcoming its guests with some comforting “seasons greetings” by offering a few holiday specials.
Happening now until December 31, roasted chestnuts will be available daily on the hotel’s front drive from 3pm-5pm. Hot chocolate will also be available daily in the lobby from 2pm-6pm and is complimentary for hotel guests.
Hot cider is offered during Sunday brunch which is served from 11am-2:30pm and features raw bar selections, hors d’oeuvres, salads, hand-carved meats and a house-cured charcuterie station.
Starting December 20, two flavors of buche de noel will be available for brunch, lunch and dinner with the option of a pumpkin, cream cheese and orange flavor or a dark and milk chocolate.
And of course, there’s also the “Teddy Bear Tea,” a special holiday event for the whole family to enjoy until the end of December. Held in the Mary Cassatt Tea Room of the hotel, beginning at 11:30am, for $60 per person, parents can bring their children to experience traditions of classic tea-time culture by having a real tea party with pairings of chef Jon Cichon’s signature pastries and teas. Teddy Bear Tea also offers a child-friendly menu, gingerbread man building activities with the Lacroix pastry team and a complimentary Rittenhouse Teddy Bear so children can get the full experience of a real-life tea party. Lacroix also plans to feature a few holiday cocktails at The Library Bar for mom and dad. Just sayin’.
If you stop by the lobby you can see the Ben Franklin Bridge and Nutcracker-themed ginger bread house that will be displayed until the end of the month. So warm up with some hot chocolate or cider, admire the holiday decorations, and enjoy some (grilled) chestnuts by an open fire all this season at The Rittenhouse Hotel.
