Herban Quality Eats To Open with Free Lunch
Herban Quality Eats, Philadelphia’s newest fast casual concept is going to be opening its doors at 3601 Market Street on Tuesday, December 15th. The restaurant is aiming to produce nutritious and freshly made dishes that go beyond the standard salad. And on its opening day, the first 101 guests will be treated to a free lunch when the doors open at 11:30 a.m.
Herban, which tested its concept out by offering a delivery service in University City will be in the base of the new residential building at the corner of 36th and Market. Herban’s first brick-and-mortar location offers the now familiar Chipotle approach of building a meal. You can start a platter with a base like Himalayan red rices, seasoned kale or chilled whole wheat peanut noodles. Then you choose a protein like grilled chicken, backyard steak, pesto salmon or “the vegan jawn,” a mix of lentils, quinoa and sweet potatoes which is baked into balls. A sauce finishes up your platter. Choose from herbed tomato, walnut coriander, and Herban hot sauce.
In addition to platters, Herban does have salads as well as “snacketizers,” dishes like guacamole, plantain chips and a gluten-free, dairy free pecan brownie.
Throughout December, Herban Quality Eats will be open weekdays from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. After the new year, Herban will expand their hours.
