Bigger Better Garage Is Coming to Fishtown

The Garage has been a success since its opening on Passyunk Avenue across from Pat’s and Geno’s Steaks. The canned beer list keeps growing and weekends and sporting events find the bar packed three and four people deep. And despite or because of the crowds, everyone seems to be having a good time.

And now that good time will be heading to Fishtown as Jason Evenchik and his partners are opening a second location at Girard and Frankford Avenue, in the former Penn Treaty Market (and dead-on-arrival Calexico).

Like the South Philadelphia location, Skee-ball, pinball, pool and canned beer will be the primary draws. The Fishtown version of the Garage promises to be bigger and have more of everything. That includes more canned beer, which is currently at over 325 varieties, more draft lines, more Skee-ball machines, more prizes and more televisions.

Garage North will also have a full kitchen, but it will continue to showcase a rotation of chefs. Look for a spring, 2016 opening.
