Dinner Series Kicks Off at La Peg
La Peg is kicking off a dinner series with a vintner’s dinner this Tuesday, November 10th. The four-course dinner is $35 and $50 with a wine pairing. In December, the French brasserie will throw a beer dinner with Saint Benjamin’s, details to follow.

First Course
Brussels sprouts
Bacon Lardons, royal trumpet mushrooms, white wine reduction mounted with walnut oil “vinaigrette”. quartered grapes
Paired with: Joseph Drouhin Macon, Chardonnay, Burgundy France
Second Course
Grilled quail
Butternut squash puree, roasted sunchokes, toasted hazelnuts, red wine reduction and chicken jus mounted with butter and spiked with cinnamon
Paired with: Domaine Foretal Beaujolais, Gamay, Rhone France
Third Course
Red wine braised pork cheeks
Spice bread croutons, Burgundian garnish, butter roasted potatoes
Paired with: Cheval Quancard Cabernet Sauvignon, Languedoc France
Fourth Course
White wine poached fruit
Pears, dried apricots, raisins, orange peel, clove, cinnamon, star anise, cassis sorbet
Paired with: Chateau Les Mingets Sauternes, Bordeaux France
