New Cake Shop And Bakery to Open in Mt.Airy
A local couple is opening a new, from-scratch, artisan bakery in Mt.Airy this weekend.
Jennifer Low and Sean Williams are bringing Frosted Fox Cake Shop to 6511 Germantown Avenue in Low’s hometown, where she originally learned how to craft specialty cakes. Ever since Williams met Low at the Culinary Institute of America (then moved from Miami to Philadelphia to join its thriving food scene), it’s been the couples dream to open a neighborhood cake shop where they currently reside.
And now they’ve done it. They’ll be hosting the grand opening “cookies and milk” themed party this Friday, November 6, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Frosted Fox will focus on wedding and special occasion cakes while also providing High Point coffee and other baked goods like brownies, cookies and cupcakes on a daily basis.
Their mission is to add to the recent trends of “photo-worthy” cakes by providing a store where people can enjoy their unique, hand-crafted cake designs or just stop by for a sweet treat.
The shop will have an open decorating area where local shoppers can watch the crafters work on the cakes. They will feature a wide selection of flavors including pumpkin, peanut butter, lemon and devil’s food.
For this fall season, Frosted Fox is featuring pumpkin cupcakes and hand-made pies as a comforting treat to all their new customers.
The shop will be open Tuesday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
