George and Vasiliki Tsiouris, who opened Opa several years ago are now looking to takeover the former Coco’s at 112 South 8th Street. The brother-and-sister restaurateurs who also run Drury Beer Garden behind Opa will open Craftsman Row Saloon later this month.

Craftsman Row is described as a comfortable spot to enjoy drinks and food for lunch, dinner and late night. The Tsiouris’ will maintain much of the character of Coco’s, keeping the bar marked by nameplates of Coco’s regulars at each end.

The menu is being created by chef Rich Freedman, current the sous chef at Opa. Freedman has also been executive chef at several large operations including Rowan University, the Philadelphia Zoo and the Barnes Foundation. He was also the chef de cuisine for premium facilities at Citizens Bank Park. Before that he was executive chef at the Sidecar Bar & Grille.

Expect the menu to feature classic snacks, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees plus a selection of cured meats and sausages. Craftsman Row will be open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and late-night, from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. Stay tuned for more details on the menu and the space.
