Lancaster Avenue Night Market Is Tonight
Tonight is Night Market, folks. Returning once more to West Philly, the party will be descending on Lancaster Avenue for several hours of food trucks, beer and live music shared with tens of thousands of your closest friends. And while we have previously offered general advice for making the most out of your Night Market experiences, here’s some very specific intel on what’s going to be happening tonight.
First off, the food and drink vendors that will be participating this evening. You can check out the full list on this handy brochure made by the Food Trust, but the highlights are:
Alla Spina will be there, as will Mom Mom’s, slinging the pierogi’s. Bassett’s will have ice cream (as will Weckerly’s, Zha’s and Little Baby’s), Luke’s Lobster will have shrimp and lobster rolls, Nomad, Pitruco, Pizzeria Vetri and the Pizza Wagon crew will all be offering slices, and there are seriously more BBQ trucks than I can even count.
Where should you go first? Perennial favorite the Tot Cart will be rocking massive lines, no doubt, so get there fast. Ditto the Cow And The Curd for fried cheese curds. Foolish Waffles, GiGi & Big R’s, Prime Stache, Sweetbox, Suagr Philly? All good choices. Undrgrnd Donuts for something sweet and weird. And don’t miss your shot at a hand pie from the Best Of Philly Award winning Pie Stand. Seriously, don’t miss them.
Oh, and Yards will have beer stands operating at 36th, 37th and 38th streets so that you’ll never be more than a block away from a cold one.
The fun starts at 6pm and goes until 10pm. Show up early. Have a plan. Read our guide. Got it? Good.
