La Peg’s Got Movie Nights, Too
In continuation of what is turning out to be an unofficial dining-movie series in Philly (we wrote about Le Virtu on Monday), La Peg is also doing movie nights in their beer garden this summer. (To any other restaurant interested, we’ll happily take credit for starting up this trend, because outdoor drinking, food, and movies is pretty much all the best ways to celebrate summer compiled into one evening of awesome.)
Wednesdays at 8:30 PM throughout the summer, La Peg will be screening movies (with no admission cost) while firing up their outdoor grill. Meaning if you’re seated at the outdoor bar to watch the movie, you can order food right there. Meaning no craning your neck to see, and no need to get up for another beer. Sound good? Of course it does.
And the movie line up is pretty excellent, too…
July 15th: La Cage aux Folles
July 22nd: Pulp Fiction
July 29th: Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
August 5th: The Big Lebowski
August 12th: Jaws
August 19th: The Birds
August 26th: Dirty Dancing
But just in case Wednesdays aren’t really doable in your work week, La Peg will also be hosting a Friday night series, FringeArts: Late Night, featuring a series of bands each Friday starting at 10:30 PM as a lead up to their Fringe Fest later this summer. Scheduled currently:
July 17th: West Philadelphia Orchestra
July 24th: Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society
July 31st: Snakebelly Historical Society Presents: Sweet Heart City
August 7th: Red 40 and The Last Groovement
August 14th: Not Blood Paint
August 21st: Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society
