Now That We’ve Told You Where to Sit and What to Eat, Here Are Our Cocktail Recommendations for Center City Sips
So far for this summer’s Center City Sips, we’ve highlighted the best appetizer deals and the best places to drink outside. Perhaps it’s time to talk about the drinks.
If you’re looking for interesting (read: not super-sugary, I’ll-regret-this-by-9-tonight) cocktails, we’ve got you covered. Plus, we’ve picked out our favorite 2 Gingers Whiskey cocktails (2 Gingers is sponsoring Center City Sips), and also have located one of the crazier concoctions you can get your hands on tonight.
Best 2 Gingers Whiskey Cocktails
We’re caught between two drinks:
Head to Bank & Bourbon for a Ginger in the Garden (2 Gingers Irish Whiskey, Velvet Falernum, Fresh Lemon Juice, Muddle Cucumbers); it sounds refreshing and not too sweet, which is perfect for a Wednesday afternoon.
Alternatively, stop at the Independence Beer Garden for a Ginger Bomb (2 Gingers Irish Whiskey, Ginger Ale, Candied Ginger). It has real ginger (albeit candied), and ginger will cure any hangover for those just waking up around 4 PM. Plus, ginger is healthy, which means the whole drink is healthy, right?

And If You’re Feeling Particularly Adventurous
Lastly, we’d like to take a moment and tip our hats to the folks over at Finn McCools Ale House for creating this creature:
Dragon’s Breath (2 Gingers, Tequila, Sour Mix, Frank’s Red Hot, Celery Juice).
Moreover, we’d like to tip our hats ever more deeply to the souls that try this on their Wednesday afternoon. If you can get through this Dragon’s Breath at 5 PM in the middle of the work week, you can probably get through anything.
Happy sipping!
