More Summer Happy Hour Goodness At Jamonera and Lolita

The list of places to get a late-afternoon snack or drink continues to grow this summer, and we’re certainly not complaining.

Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran are opening the outdoor seating areas and the bars at Jamonera and Lolita in Midtown Village for their new summer happy hour menus on Sunday through Thursday from 5 PM – 6:30 PM.

Drinks will range from $4-$6, and all sorts of tapas will be available for $5. It may not be Granada (the city that offers free tapas with every drink), but, then again, it’s not far off.

At Jamonera, you’re looking at snacks like:

 Jamon Croquetas with horseradish aioli and chives

 Fava Croquetas with whipped goat cheese and lemon

Tortilla Espanola with truffled aioli, grilled asparagus and roasted peppers

Papas Fritas with smoked garlic aioli and pimenton

Seared Chicken Pinchos with a white bean spread, cucumber and red onion

Pan Con Tomate with jamon iberico, olive oil and sea salt

Albondigas with tomato-serrano sauce and olivada

 Pimientos de Shishito with preserved lemon aioli and sea salt

And any of these to wash it down:

$6 Bizet Cocktails (vodka, passion fruit and fresh thyme)

Or, if you head to Lolita, you’ll find:

            Nachos Verdes with grilled asparagus, queso mixto and tomatillo salsa (meat from the trompo can be added for $3)

Herbed Chicken Trompo Tacos with chipotle yogurt, pickled cucumber and cilantro

Mushroom Sopecitos with caramelized onion, queso mixto, crema and salsa roja

Pork Albondigas with chipotle tomato sauce, cotija and pico de gallo

Tequila Cured and Smoked Salmon Tostaditas with jalapeño goat cheese, jicama-orange salsa and lime

Pork Carnitas Taquitos with avocado-tomatillo salsa, cotija, crema and radish
