This one’s for the Center City crowd looking for something a little different for lunch.
A.Kitchen and A.Bar are rolling out a new weekly changing sandwich-and-a-side special, and it will probably trump your usual hoagie.
Actually, it’ll pretty much definitely trump your usual hoagie. I mean, if nothing else, we’re talking about bread from High Street On Market and that is always a good thing.
Monday through Friday between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM your lunch options could include stuff like…
Fried Eggplant Cutlet
with fresh tomato, basil mayo and buratta on brown rice baguette, served with Chilled Asparagus Soup
Roast Beef Au Jus
with aged provolone and pickled peppers on ciabatta, served with chilled Golden Beet Borscht with crème fraîche and dill oil
“Baloney and Cheese”
Lancaster bologna and Lancaster Swiss with horseradish mayo on bread from High Street on Market’s head baker, Alex Bois, served with Pepper Cabbage, or Pennsylvania Dutch coleslaw, and a pickle spear.
The lunch deal will be served straightaway if time is an issue, and is only $15.
If you’ve got time, there is also the option of the Rittenhouse Power Lunch, which includes any starter plus a choice of sandwich or plate for $25.
