More News From William Street Common
William Street Common, the indoor beer garden in University City, rolled out a new “All Day” menu today, available both inside and on the new, 60-seat patio we told you about last week.
Oh, and also? They picked up a new chef. Geno Betz is in the kitchen as chef de cuisine, working under exec David Gilberg.
Betz comes to William Street from some fine directions–he was in the kitchen at Lacroix, Stateside, The Mildred and Le Bec Fin under Nick Elmi. And the new menu? He had a hand in the creating of it, and will certainly have a hand in its daily execution. We’re talking melon salad with compressed honeydew, fresh cheese and candied fresno chilies; Spicy peel-and-eat shrimp with espelette pepper; and (of course) a banh mi with ginger-brined chicken, braised, pulled and served an authentic Ba Le Bakery roll. As for the booze, there’s a whole new cocktail list as well, with three different punches, a few remodeled classics and 12 rotating taps with options for steins and table kegs. Because, really, who couldn’t use a keg right there at the table?
Check out the new menu below:
And here’s the booze, too.
