Opening Today: Tired Hands Fermentaria
Today marks the official opening of Tired Hands Brewing Co.’s Fermentaria. Located just down the street from the original Tired Hands brew cafe, the new space will immediately more than double Tired Hands brewing capacity, with future expansion room allowing for around seven times the volume. The Fermentaria also means more room for patrons looking for a beer, a bite, and a growler fill to go. The new spot at 35 Cricket Terrace has room for 180 seated.
Tired Hands Fermentaria also has its own menu featuring tacos, ceviches and bigger plates. Chef Bill Braun, who is also the head guy at the brew cafe is in charge here as well, though with the help of Kyle Yates. Highlights of the menu, which is taco focused but not necessarily Mexican, include:
- brisket taco with Swiss cheese, caraway slaw, pickled mustard, tarragon crema
- patatas bravas taco with chorizo-style bulgar, goat cheese, salsa rojo
The Fermentaria has 10-taps and the opening tap list includes Tired Hands standards; SaisonHands; HopHands; the new Rutilant IPA; Shambolic, a dry-hopped saison; I’m Sad, an imperial honey porter; and Vaporizer, a fruity IPA described as a “summertime crusher.”
The Fermentaria is open at noon till midnight, every day but Tuesday.
