Sylva Senat to Open Taco Shop at 15th and Sansom

Everyone needs a project to distract them from the slings and arrows of daily life. Some people (shoutout to my dad) collect stamps. Others (also, shoutout to my dad) build model trains. And some people, the best people, open taco shops.

According to a tip from HughE Dillon of PhillyChitChat, Sylva Senat (who rose to fame as the illustrious chef at Tashan) is opening Dos Tacos at 120 S. 15th Street (Aqua has closed at this address) as a side project while he awaits the opening of Maison 208 (which will be at the former site of Letto Deli).

The menu will include 8-10 tacos and sides, which will eventually be accompanied by a secret menu with more gastronomically adventurous offerings. The shop will be open from 11am-9pm on Sundays-Wednesdays, and 11am-3am on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. And while yes, a late-night weekend taco spot is great news, despite the 3am closing time, Dos Tacos will be an alcohol-free restaurant.
