Greek Easter at Estia
Yesterday we wrote about the Greek Easter dinner at Opa, but it turns out you actually have options if you’re looking to celebrate the holiday. Estia is also hosting a Greek Easter feast this Sunday, Apr. 12, featuring a $65, four course menu (don’t worry, if it’s not your thing they’ll still have their regular menu available as well).
The meal will begin with a choice of soup, either “mayeritsa,” a traditional soup of lamb with spinach, rice, parsley, dill and scallions, or “avgolemeno,” an egg and lemon soup with rice. The second course will be a “marouli salata,” a chopped romaine salad with dill and scallions dressed with latholemeno, followed by a roasted lamb served over greek-style oven roasted potatoes. As there should be, there will be two desserts: “koulourakia,” greek cookies with sesame seeds and “galactobourico,” semolina custard wrapped in phyllo dough.
Greek Easter will be happening at all three Estia locations (Philadelphia PA, Radnor PA, and Marlton NJ) with seatings from 2pm-10pm. You can make reservations here.
