A Barcelona Cheesesteak On The Menu At Verdad
Chef Farina gives the cheesesteak a Spanish makeover on his new spring menu.
In our continuing spring food coverage we came across this rather odd interpretation of a Philly favorite. Nick Farina of Verdad in Bryn Mawr is adding a Barcelona Cheesesteak to his spring menu.
The cheesesteak is offered tapas-style, in four bite-sized pieces. The Kobe beef is seared rare and topped with pickled onions served on a Manchego croquette, then drizzled with Gouda bechamel. And it can be yours for just $12.
Farina wanted to add flavors of Spanish cuisine to the iconic Philadelphia sandwich, and it’s on the menu right now..
