Celebrate the Holiday Season Rittenhouse Style
If you’re still looking to stuff yourself full of Christmas spirit, The Rittenhouse Hotel is hosting a series of holiday events in the next few weeks that are worth considering.
The hotel will be putting on its own gingerbread house display by The Library Bar with replicas of two Philadelphia landmarks – Betsy Ross’s house and the Philadelphia Art Museum. The gingerbread houses have been created by the Rittenhouse’s own culinary team, led by pastry chef Tova du Plessis.
But since you can’t eat all the gingerbread (don’t try, they’ll kick you out), the hotel will be offering sweet roasted chestnuts, hot spiced apple cider, and hot chocolate as a part of their “Winter Warming Treats” every day in the lobby from 2-6 p.m.
Lacroix will be hosting its own Christmas Eve and Christmas Day festivities with special holiday menus. On Christmas Eve, Lacroix will be offering 4-course and 8-course menus, with optional wine pairings. Seating on Christmas Eve is starting at 5:30 p.m.
As for Christmas Day, the restaurant will host a holiday brunch from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
And if you’re busy on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with other family obligations, don’t worry–you can always stop by the Teddy Bear Tea in the Mary Cassat Tea Room, every day from December 19-28. All it takes is 60 bucks ($30 for kids) and a reservation. Your teddy bear gets in free.
