The Food at Love Park’s Christmas Village
Philadelphia’s Christmas Village at Love Park kicks off Thanksgiving Day and runs through Sunday, December 28th. And although the Christmas Village is mainly about the shopping, there will be lots of food and some fun food and drink events as well.
New to the village this year will be crepes, grilled cheeses from Brunkow Cheese, Döner kebab and Raclette Cheese, a heated cheese round that where the molten part is then scraped onto plates (where have you been my whole life?).
In addition to these new items there will also be bratwurst, currywurst, leberkäse, schnitzel, landjaeger, potato pancakes, potato salad, sauerkraut, German-style pretzel plus a Bavarian burger and schnitzelburger.
If you’re looking to bring some food home, several vendors will be ready to offer everything from strudel to chocolate.
- Austrian Strudel
- Wandering Waffles
- German Lebkuchen
- Bacon Jam
- Brunkow Cheese
- Funnel Cake
- Pretzelphoria
- John & Kira’s
