Knead Bagels Opens on Walnut Street


Knead Bagels, which promises to fill Philadelphia’s perpetual need for more bagels has opened at 725 Walnut Street. Adam Willner, who got into bagel-making when he was chef at Matyson is behind the kettle at Knead. The bagel shop offers a single bagel for $1.50, $13 for a bakers dozen. The menu includes traditional bagels and toppings as well as bagels flavored with pastrami spice, togarashi and porcini. Knead also offers egg sandwiches and coffee by Elixr.

Knead Bagels will be open 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays and from 8 a.m. till they sell out on weekends.
