Eat Bugs at Morris Arboretum
Anyone down for some adventurous eating should definitely check out the Bug Crawl at Morris Arboretum next week. Chef Josh Hunter of Company’s Coming Catering has designed a tasting menu of gourmet delicacies that will include:
- cricket fritters
- teriyaki glazed hissing cockroach brochettes
- silk worm pupae summer rolls
The bugs will be served at several Big Bug stations throughout the garden. That’s right: lots of tasty bugs for you to snack on. They’re also offering beer and wine to compliment the insect dishes. The event will take place Wednesday, July 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
This is a rain or shine event. In case of rain the stations will be under the cafe tent. Registration required.
Tickets are $45 for members of Morris Arboretum, $50 for non-members. Tickets are available online.
