Bastille Day in Fairmount Is a Week Long Affair
Bastille Day is back in Fairmount.
On Thursday, July 11th, at 6 pm, there will be a French Fling Bar Crawl, dubbed Kronenbourg Krawl, starting at The Belgian Cafe, and ending at London Grill. There will be raffles and prizes throughout the night with $3 Kronenbourg 1664 and $4 Kronenbourg Blanc.
Then, free beer Friday. Try samples of Kronenbourg at all the Fairmount bars you visited the night before from 7 pm – 12 am. A schedule of which bars are sampling when is on the attached bar crawl flyer.
Saturday evening, at 5:30 pm, Eastern State Penitentiary is celebrating with a live, theatrical performance written and performed by The Bearded Ladies Cabaret. It’s free, and open to the public, but if you want better seats (as well as beer, refreshments, heckling from the lower classes, and revolution goodie bags), tickets are available online. Afterwards, there will still be lots of beer, people in costume, Tastykakes galore, and beheading parties.
Oh, and if you’re the dancer type…
Pro-Tip: The Penitentiary will be open at a discounted price: $10 Adults, $5 Students, Seniors and Kids
