The Broadway Bar’s Burger Dog is a Big Hit in Delco

Meet the Burger Dog. As the name might imply, the Burger Dog is the marriage of a hot dog and a burger, but that is only part of the story.

Available at Clifton Heights’ Broadway Bar and Grille (the new sister restaurant to the longstanding Clam Tavern across the street), the Burger Dog is an all-beef hot dog wrapped in an ultra-thin burger patty, wrapped in bacon. All of that gets deep fried and served on a Liscio’s roll. The people in this part of Delco seem to be going nuts for the sandwich.

To add insult to injury, the Burger Dog seen here was topped with chili and cheddar cheese. The quarter of it that I consumed was delicious in the artery-clogging way that a deep fried Burger Dog should be. Scrape together $8.99 and see for yourself.
