Tonight: The Hammer of Glory Rides Again
There are some that know how to wield a hammer, and some who don’t. Mayor Nutter knows how to wield a goddamn hammer—and not just any hammer: the Hammer of Glory.
A symbol signifying the official commencement of Philly Beer Week, the Hammer of Glory makes its annual journey ‘round the city, stopping at the best bars with the best beers, tapping kegs left and right, headed for 6th and Market, where the Opening Tap takes place, and where Mayor Nutter will start the week off with a ceremonious toast.
If you want to follow the Hammer, a SugarHouse Double Decker bus will be following it on May 31st throughout the day, providing free transportation to each stop.
