East Passyunk Avenue Praised by Food & Wine, Responds with a Party
East Passyunk Avenue has been named one of the “10 Best Foodie Streets in America” in the May 2013 issue of Food & Wine Magazine. The story praises East Passyunk’s thriving scene with special mentions for Fond, Pollyodd, Marras, Will BYOB and Era Atomica.
On Wednesday, April 17, 2013, the East Passyunk Business Improvement District will celebrate the accolade with a party around the Singing Fountain (11th and Tasker) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Folk musicians from Abruzzo, will perform as part of a tour arranged by Le Virtu. Fond, Stateside and other restaurants around the Singing Fountain will offer happy hour specials. Chef Joncarl Lachman, of the next-to-open Noord, will meet and greet his new neighbors and provide tours of his under construction restaurant.
