UPDATED: Tonight, Party at the Farmstand
Tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the Fair Food Farmstand at Reading Terminal Market will be having a free celebration of the release of 2012-2013 Philadelphia Local Food Guide. The Guide, which is a comprehensive annual handbook to local foods in Philly, connects readers to the region’s artisanal breweries, wineries, retailers, caterers, restaurants, markets and more.
Tonight’s event will feature drinks and snacks from Blue Mountain Winery, Capogiro, Cookie Confidential, Fair Food Farmstand (of course), Good Spoon Soups, Lansdale Farm, Philadelphia Brewing Co., Valley Shepherd Creamery, Weaver’s Way, and Wholesome Dairy.
If you’re feeling charitable but can’t make the event, a donation to Fair Food (which partners with Grid magazine on the guide) will get you a copy of the guide gratis. Or you can just skip the donation and grab the free magazine from one of hundreds of drop spots around the city. But you’re not the kind of person who’d avoid paying for something you can get for free, are you?
