Cook’s January Schedule is Live

As of a few minutes ago, the January class schedule at Cook opened to the public. Highlights of the month include:

  • Michael Solomonov doing a brunch class on Sunday, January 8, featuring coffee, donuts and fried chicken from Federal Donuts (which, considering the kinds of lines and shortages he’s still experiencing at the actual Federal Donuts, might be the only way to get a taste that doesn’t involve a sleeping bag and a tent).
  • Jon Cichon of Lacroix cooking a whole goat (which is just awesome).
  • Aki Kamozawa and H. Alexander Talbot of Ideas In Food coming in on the 25th to show off their foams, froths and to get their culinary geek on.
  • Kevin Sbraga and Winston Justice doing tailgating food on the 30th (because it looks like Justice won’t have to be rushing off to Indianapolis with the Eagles this year…)

January also marks the kickoff of our own Foobooz Neighborhood Pop-Up series at Cook, in which we choose a neighborhood, invite in a bunch of chefs, and have a little party celebrating the bounty of their few square blocks. On Wednesday the 18th, we’re highlighting East Passyunk, and will be hanging with George Sabatino of Stateside, Lee Styer from Fond, Joe Cicala of Le Virtu and Jessie Prawlucki of Belle Cakery, who’ll be doing dessert.

Four chefs, four courses, one night. Hope to see the 16 quickest of you there.
