Black Saras, Yellow Zebras, Red Brandywines at Amada

Now through Thursday, August 25th Amada is offering a special $55, four-coure La Tomatina Chef’s Tasting menu in honor of Buñel Spain’s annual La Tomatina Festival. The event has taken place every August since 1944. The festival features the town’s residents and tourists hurling more than 150,000 tomatoes at each other (glad it isn’t only Americans who waste food for sport) in honor of Buñel’s patron saints.

At Amada it isn’t a food fight but rather a celebration of the region’s heirloom tomato abundance. Chef de Cuisine Macgregor Mann created a special menu that highlights the tomato.
