Two Restaurateurs Join Up for Latest Sang Kee

Sang Kee Noodle Bowl opens today in Newtown Square in the former location of Parker’s Prime. Michael Chow who opened the first Sang Kee back in 1980 will consult on the menu and training. Chow runs Sang Kee locations in Chinatown, Wynnewood, Universtity City and the Reading Terminal as well as Old City’s Peking Noodle House and the Noodle Bar in the Parx Casino.

In this iteration of Sang Kee Chow is teaming up with Win and Sutida Somboonsong who have a restaurant empire of their own. Win Signature Restaurants operate Thai Pepper in Ardmore, Teikoku in Newtown Square, Azie in Media, Azie on Main and Mixx.

The partnership started the Somboonsongs lunching at Sang Kee Noodle House. A conversation with Chow ensued and the idea of Sang Kee Noodle Bowl was born.

Expect this latest Sang Kee to offer the same dishes like Hong Kong Wontons, Peking Spare Ribs, Clams in Black Bean Sauce and of course Peking Duck.
