What's your background, education and training?

A Philadelphia native, Dr. Bottger earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Temple University’s School of Medicine following his graduation from Princeton University. He then completed multiple residencies in general surgery and plastic surgery at the University of Cincinnati and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, respectively. Dr. Bottger subsequently underwent a fellowship in hand surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he further cultivated his expertise in aesthetic surgery. He earned board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1993.

Following this extensive post-graduate training, Dr. Bottger has continued to keep abreast of the latest techniques in cosmetic plastic surgery through his membership to national professional organizations, such as ASPS and ASAPS. He has also held hospital privileges at several Philadelphia-area hospitals, including Bryn Mawr Hospital, Delaware County Memorial Hospital, and Mercy Community Hospital. At his private practice, Dr. Bottger specializes in breast augmentation, Mommy Makeover, and tummy tuck surgery among many other aesthetic procedures.

Words cannot adequately express the full range of emotions I have gone through during this experience. Excitement, indecision, elation and appreciation to name a few. For the first two weeks after my surgery I looked in the mirror constantly with awe at the transformation. I kept returning to the mirror to admire my new body. My stomach was actually sunken in!
