Maclin, Jackson Both Questionable For Sunday

DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin were limited participants in Friday’s practice and are officially listed as questionable on the injury report.

Maclin suffered a hip flexor and hip pointer injury against the Browns in Week 1, while Jackson hurt his hamstring at the end of practice Wednesday. Andy Reid, when asked if one had a better chance of playing than the other, said their situations are about the same.

“They are running OK,” said Reid. “We just kind of took it easy on them today. They did a decent job today with the things that they were given, which wasn’t much.”

Riley Cooper also was a partial participant but he is listed as out for Sunday.

Jackson was not in the locker room during media availability after practice Friday.Maclin was, and sounded confident that he will play against Baltimore.

“I feel good, man,” said Maclin. “I didn’t really feel anything [during practice]. That’s a good thing. Right now, everything is a go…I will be fine. I will take all the right steps and get myself ready.”

Michael Vick didn’t sound quite as confident that both of his starting receivers would be available.

“The thing is, we don’t want them to make the injuries any worse or reaggravate it, so we’ll just see how it goes over the next couple days,” said Vick.

“I can’t say right now for sure [if they will play]. But the guys who we have out there now have been working extremely hard, and they understand the offense and what we’re trying to get accomplished. That’s all you can ask for right now. Hopefully DeSean and Jeremy will be out there.”

Jason Avant, Mardy Gilyard and Damaris Johnson are currently the only healthy receivers on the team. On a possible contingency plan if Jackson and Maclin can’t go, Reid said he is “not even going to go there” and is thinking positive, which may be an indication that he expects at least one of those receivers to be ready.

If not, the Eagles will be counting on some youth to get it done.

“Coach told me that if I’m in there for more reps than I usually am, to just go in there focused and prepare the same way I have been,” said Johnson. “I go in every week as if I am the Number One guy. I did that this week, I did that last week. Not much changed.”

Elsewhere on the injury report, Avant (wrist), Colt Anderson (knee) and Kurt Coleman (facial lacerations) are all probable. Curtis Marsh (hamstring) is questionable.
