Beyond the domestic United States Dr Simon Oh has set up a missions clinic to provide free dental implants for the citizens of Central America. Dr Oh was the first to place Zygomatic or Pterygoid implants, and has trained the first doctors to do these procedures. Dr Oh is training the first round of surgeons in order to arm them with these treatment protocols and has set up a clinic equipped with 3D printing technology as well as milling technologies in order to make a meaningful difference in their community through dental implants.
To date Dr Oh is responsible for more than $3 million in donated dental implant services in the USA and and Central America.

What's your background, education and training?

Dr. Simon Oh grew up in Maryland where he received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Maryland – College Park in physiology and neurobiology. He then graduated with honors from the University of Maryland Dental School, achieving the highest national Board scores in his class. He was a member of several honors societies, including the OKU honors society, and won scholarships for academic and clinical achievement.

After finishing his dental education, Dr. Oh furthered his training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. There he received extensive inpatient and outpatient training in conditions ranging from impacted wisdom teeth and dental implants, to major facial reconstructive surgery. Dr. Oh is also a published author in the Journal of Maxillofacial Trauma, Annals of Medicine and Surgery, and multiple textbooks.
