Dr. Sheedeh Madani, board-certified pediatric dentist and founder of Bala Kids Dentistry, treats her patients and their families as if they are an extension of her own. The Bala Kids Dentistry team are all welcoming, and skillful at connecting with children and putting them and their families at ease. Each visit takes place in individualized rooms, and children have the ability to choose their own movies, which provides ultimate comfort and relaxation. The team takes pride in combining their extensive training and meticulous preparation, providing state-of-the-art care.

Preventative services including dental examinations, cleanings, radiographs, fluoride varnish treatment, sealants and silver diamine fluoride. Restorative services including but not limited to tooth-colored fillings, crowns, extractions, space maintainers and can utilize nitrous oxide as needed.

What's your background, education and training?

Dr. Sheedeh Madani's journey into pediatric dentistry is a blend of academic excellence and a deep passion for working with children. Growing up in the Philadelphia area, she first attended Friends’ Central School and went on to earn her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. With a strong foundation in the sciences, Dr. Madani pursued a Master’s in Biomedical Science at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before returning to Penn to obtain her dental doctorate. During her dental studies, she was awarded Certificates of Merit in both pediatric dentistry and oral medicine, reflecting her commitment to her chosen field.

Her desire to specialize in pediatric dentistry led her to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, where she completed her pediatric dental residency. The hospital-based setting allowed Dr. Madani to collaborate with various medical professionals, ensuring a comprehensive approach to pediatric care. This experience played a crucial role in shaping her clinical expertise and understanding of comprehensive care for children.

Motivated to give back to her community, Dr. Madani channeled her knowledge and experience into opening Bala Kids Dentistry, a practice designed to provide top-quality dental care for children while providing a compassionate and welcoming environment.

Tuesdays: 9am-5pm

Wednesdays: 11am-6pm

Thursdays 9am-5pm

Fridays: 9am-2pm

Saturdays: 8am-2pm (1-2 Saturdays a month)
