About

Laudenbach Periodontics and Dental Implants is Philadelphia's premier center for periodontal health and dental implant care. Our experienced team serves patients in a warm, caring, and relaxed environment where patients can feel at home during their treatment. Dr. Jay Laudenbach is an experienced, board-certified periodontal surgeon with an extensive background in conservative dental implant and periodontal care. Our office utilizes state-of-the-art technology to assure safe and minimally invasive care, so that you achieve the best outcome for your smile.

Although we utilize dental implants routinely in the replacement of single or multiple teeth, Dr. Jay Laudenbach specializes in "All-in-One" full arch rehabilitation utilizing dental implants. With the "All-in-One" treatment, Dr. Jay is able to replace a full arch of compromised teeth with an esthetic and durable fixed dental implant bridge in only 24 hours. This innovative approach simplifies your care, reduces the number of surgeries, reduces overall treatment time, and significantly reduces the cost of your care.

Ideal candidates for "All-in-One" care include patients who have neglected their smile, struggled with an uncomfortable or painful dentition, or who have become frustrated with the constant repair of broken or compromised teeth. Unlike other treatments that risk insufficient support with only four "economy" dental implants, Dr. Laudenbach's approach incorporates the placement of at least six of the highest quality dental implants to support your new smile for many years. Our team is constantly inspired by the dramatic transformation every time a patient sees their new smile.

In addition to dental implant care, periodontal health, and maintenance of natural teeth are cornerstones of Dr. Laudenbach's practice. Our practice creates awareness about the benefits of early intervention to prevent gum disease or tooth decay before it starts. Quite often, oral disease may occur without pain or symptoms, leaving patients unaware of infection or exposure of unsightly root surfaces. In many cases, Dr. Laudenbach can reverse the disease process with cosmetic gum tissue enhancements or conservative bone grafting to restore the support of your natural teeth. Our office performs regular dental hygiene care to prevent oral disease and more frequent periodontal maintenance care for patients who have demonstrated susceptibility to periodontal disease.

Laudenbach Periodontics and Dental Implants have been serving the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware area for over 46 years. Our office accepts new patients proactively seeking oral health, and a referral is not required.

What is your typical process for working with a new patient?

I see new patients for a 1-hour comprehensive examination, including a review of your medical history, diagnostic photos, a comprehensive examination of your mouth, discussion of your areas of concern, and discussion of your overall dental and periodontal health. For patients interested in learning about dental implant treatment options, a cone-beam CT scan is taken in our office and reviewed chairside with educational models and videos. The remaining time is utilized to plan your care so that it fits in with your life and your budget.

What advice would you give a patient looking to find a provider in your specialty?

Ask your dentist, friends, and family who they would want to provide their periodontal and dental implant treatment. You are more likely to find a periodontist with a practice focused on quality outcomes and empathetic care in this manner, in contrast to selecting someone from a list of providers.

What inspired your passion for your profession?

At The Haverford School, I developed an interest in three-dimensional art and sculpture, and during the summer, I took illustration and graphic design courses at the Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. At Brown University, I took a series of sculpture classes alongside my biology degree requirements. At Brown, I realized that my interests in biology and sculpture were ideally suited for the field of dentistry. I knew that I loved working with a variety of materials in an artistic way and found that I could continue this interest with a biologic foundation in dental care.

What treatments are you most excited to offer?

Dental implant therapy is truly a miracle service for my patients, and "All-in-One" implant therapy is a life-changing treatment. What is the best reaction you’ve ever received from a patient?

There is a moment after an "All-in-One" patient sees their smile for the first time and looks at their spouse. Quite often, both spouses shed tears of joy over the dramatic transformation and accomplishment of making such a significant improvement in their smile.

What do clients have to say about you?

"At first blush, Dr. Laudenbach's office was very warm, welcoming, and comfortable. From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed by name, and scheduling was prompt. Each staff member I encountered was energetic, warm, and made an effort to give each patient the deserved attention. Dr. Laudenbach had a great "bedside manner," was professional, patient, and happy to answer each and every question with a calm demeanor. Each and every person made the experience a positive one!" - Brenna B.

"Prompt and highly professional care. Within five minutes of arriving at the office, I was escorted to the treatment room, and within five minutes of sitting in the chair in the treatment room, Jay Laudenbach arrived prepared to discuss my dental problem. What was most impressive was Jay Laudenbach's calm, reasoned, and patient response to my rather forceful expression regarding the proposed treatment." - Thomas T.

"This was my first time there and was for a consultation. I found the doctor and the entire staff to be professional, courteous, and thorough. They explained everything to me in a manner which was understandable, and I didn't feel rushed. I was impressed and will continue to go there. I would highly recommend them." - Joseph A.

Insurances Accepted

Our office always strives to maximize your dental insurance benefit. As a service to our patients, we routinely electronically process and submit dental insurance forms for our patients. Depending upon the dental insurance plan, a patient may receive reimbursement for dental procedures completed at our practice for a portion of the treatment fee, or none of the treatment fee. We are not participants in any insurance plan, and you will not find our names in a list of providers from your insurance company. Unfortunately, we are not able to bill Medicare for dental procedures.

Laudenbach Periodontics and Dental Implants is a fee-for-service practice. Patients with dental insurance may not realize that insurance coverage is a contract between the patient and the insurance company. Insurance companies do not guarantee coverage of our procedures, and therefore we cannot guarantee coverage by any dental insurance company for our patients.

Instead, we place all of our efforts into the correct diagnosis of any underlying problem, the selection of the optimal care for each patient, and of course, providing the ideal treatment in a warm, caring environment. We do all of these things to ensure the very highest quality of dental care at our practice.
