Equipment Manager Pulls Snake Prank on Flyers
Flyers equipment manager Derek Settlemyre had a "special Gatorade cooler" for the team as a Halloween prank.
To celebrate Halloween, Flyers head equipment manager Derek Settlemyre pulled a prank on the team’s players with a “special Gatorade cooler with special ingredients.” Inside the cooler, which he says was passed around the NFL, NBA and NHL, there’s a rubber snake instead of Gatorade.
What’s great is nearly all the Flyers have to be bleeped after reacting to the snake. Also, assistant coach Ian Laperrière chases whoever’s filming on his phone into the Skate Zone parking lot. This works because the snake is so obviously fake by the time the lid slams the players have realized they’ve been had. Well done.
