Phila.gov Among Gizmodo’s Top Municipal Websites
Phila.gov, the Internet home of Philly’s government, received Internet accolades for looking pretty from Gizmodo this weekend.
The writer said the site “didn’t offend my eyes at all,” which I suppose is the benchmark for civic web design. Gizmodo likes the ease with which you’re directed to the Parking Authority’s website in order pay off your legalized racketeering fees. Great feature. Actually, they ranked all cities’ websites based on their feel, the ability to pay a parking ticket, find a park, and report trash. As far as arbitrary criteria go, they’re as good as any. [Gizmodo]
