Eagles-Ravens Games Updates
BALTIMORE — The Eagles hope to keep their playoff hopes somewhat alive as they travel to take on the Baltimore Ravens in the team’s final road game of the regular season. The Eagles look to go 6-8 on the season and avoid going under .500 for the second straight year. The Ravens are currently a game behind the Steelers for first place in the AFC North. We’ll periodically update this thread throughout the game with highlights and drive summaries. Feel free to jump in the comments below.
4:11 – FINAL SCORE: The Eagles fall to the Ravens, 27-26. The Eagles fall to 5-9 and are officially eliminated from playoff contention. Instant Observations from the tough loss.
4:09 – Wentz’s pass for Jordan Matthews is incomplete. Two point conversion is no good.
4:07 – TOUCHDOWN: Carson Wentz runs in from four yards out for the touchdown. Doug Pederson takes a timeout to think about either going for the tie or for the win.

4:05 – Tavon Young commits a pass interference penalty. Eagles at the Baltimore four yard line.
4:04 – Zach Ertz gets a huge gain of 24 and goes out of bounds. Eagles are that the Baltimore 17 yard line with 22 seconds left.

4:00 – Baltimore goes three and out and punts to the Eagles. Eagles will be at their own 41 yard line with 1:39 left to play and down by seven.
3:52 – FIELD GOAL: Caleb Sturgis knocks it in from 29 yards to cut the Baltimore lead to 27-20 with 2:22 to play.
3:49 – Mathews has had the best rushing game since LeSean McCoy in 2014.

3:45 – INTERCEPTION: Just as it seems the Ravens were going to seal the game, Jordan Hicks picks off Flacco for a 34 yard return. Wentz and company take over at their own 40 with 6:12 to go and still down by 10.

3:44 – Flacco finds Mike Wallace down the middle on a slant for a gain of 54. Baltimore’s at the Philadelphia 11 yard line.

3:40 – Eagles go for it on fourth down, but Nelson Agholor steps out of bound short of the first down on a sweep. Ravens take over at their own 33.

3:30 – TOUCHDOWN: Kenneth Dixon runs to the left side for 16 yards and the score. Justin Tucker’s PAT is good, and the Ravens extend their lead to 27-17 with 11:06 left to play.

3:20 – FIELD GOAL: Caleb Sturgis is good from 27 yards out. The Eagles trail the Ravens, 20-17, with 14:48 left in the game. Eagles got all the way down to inside the Baltimore 10 yard line.
3:16 – END OF THE THIRD QUARTER: The Eagles still trail the Ravens, 20-14.
3:14 – The Eagles are inside the Baltimore 25 and are currently driving. Big play was a catch from Zach Ertz.
3:00 – Eagles go for it on fourth down, but Burton can’t make the catch. Ravens take over at their own 39 yard line.
2:56 – Wentz’s throw is underthrown to Matthews and intercepted by Eric Weddle. May have waited a little too long to throw. But the Ravens are called for illegal conduct. Eagles keep the ball.
2:51 – After West’s big gain, the Eagles stop Baltimore’s offense. They’ll take over at their own 20.
2:47 – Second half is underway. First play is a long run by Terrance West for a gain of 41 to the Eagles 34 yard line.
2:33 – HALFTIME: The Eagles trail the Ravens, 20-14. Baltimore will receive the second half kick. Read up on what we saw in the opening half.
2:32 – TOUCHDOWN: A few plays after Steve Smith walks off the field, he catches a 34-yard pass from Flacco. Tucker makes the PAT to give the Ravens a 20-14 lead with nine seconds to go.
2:23 – FIELD GOAL: Sturgis drills a 34-yard field goal to give the Eagles a 14-13 lead with 1:39 to play in the first half.
2:16 – Kenjon Barner is questionable to return with a hamstring injury. Eagles are inside the redzone with about two minutes to go in the first half.
2:13 – Kenjon Barner is going inside, while Nelson Agholor drops a third down and one pass. The Eagles go for it on fourth down and Wentz finds Zach Ertz for 11.
2:09 – Kenjon Barner gets the Eagles to Baltimore territory and is injured on the play. Looks to be his right leg he injured. Mathews and UDFA Byron Marshall are the only other running backs active today.
2:01 – FIELD GOAL: The Eagles defense holds the Ravens to just three. But Justin Tucker makes a 47-yard try in windy conditions to give the Ravens a 13-11 lead with 9:21 left in the first half.
1:50 – TOUCHDOWN: After the Ravens were called for offsides, Ryan Mathews runs it in from four yards out. Mathews hurdles over everyone to get the two point conversion. The Eagles lead the Ravens, 11-10, with 14:38 left in the half.

1:47 – FUMBLE: Nigel Bradham sacks Joe Flacco and forces the fumble. Fletcher Cox recovers and the Eagles start at the Ravens’ eight yard line.

1:35 – FIELD GOAL: Justin Tucker just makes a deep 53-yard attempt to give the Ravens a 10-3 lead with 1:55 to go. The wind and rain have picked up considerably.

1:28 – FIELD GOAL: Caleb Sturgis makes the 45-yard try to cut the Ravens lead to 7-3 with 4:42 left in the opening quarter.

1:21 – Brandon Graham and Beau Allen combine to sack Flacco and put the Ravens inside their own five yard line. Baltimore has to punt after going three-and-out. Najee Goode almost blocked the punt, and Barner returns the ball to the 43 yard line.
1:17 – Elvis Dumervil forces a fumble on Carson Wentz, but the ball falls out of bounds. The Eagles punt to the Baltimore 12 yard line.
1:09 – TOUCHDOWN: Joe Flacco finds Kamar Aiken for the four-yard touchdown pass. Justin Tucker makes the PAT. The Ravens lead the Eagles, 7-0, with 11:38 to go in the opening quarter.

1:06 – The Eagles run the ball the first two times before Wentz gets picked off by Zachary Orr. Baltimore takes over at the Philadelphia 36 yard line. The rookie’s stats have not been good lately.

1:03 – We are underway from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Kenjon Barner receives the opening kickoff deep in his own endzone. The Eagles will start at their own 25.
1:01 – Baltimore won the coin toss and will defer to the second half. The Eagles will start the game on offense.
1:00 – Carson Wentz, Brandon Graham, and Trey Burton are the captains for the Eagles today.
12:15 – Ian Rapoport of NFL.com says the Eagles aren’t planning for any major changes in the offseason, which means you can count on Doug Pederson staying as head coach. Rapoport says the team knew they were “at least a year away, potentially even more” from being playoff contenders.
11:30 – Allen Barbre is out with a hamstring injury, which means Isaac Seumalo will be the team’s fifth right tackle this season. Paul Turner is a healthy scratch as the team’s fifth wide receiver.
