Eagles vs. Vikings Game Updates
The Eagles return to home for the first time in nearly a month as they host Sam Bradford and the Minnesota Vikings at 1. The Eagles look to go 4-2 on the season and ending Minnesota’s undefeated start to the season. We’ll periodically update this thread throughout the game with highlights and drive summaries. 4:09 – TOUCHDOWN: Sam Bradford throws his first touchdown pass of the day to Cordarrelle Patterson for 14 yards. Eagles still lead the Vikings, 21-10.
4:07 – Sam Bradford has been hit about 19 times today. He’s starting to limp a little.
3:59 – TURNOVER: Xavier Rhodes forces Ryan Mathews to fumble, and the Vikings take over at their own 44 yard line.
3:56 – Vikings turn the ball over on downs. Eagles will take over at the Minnesota 47 yard line with 4:47 left to play.
3:47 – FIELD GOAL: Sturgis nails a 21-yard attempt to give the Eagles a 21-3 lead with 6:09 left to play.
3:46 – Jason Peters is questionable to return with a biceps injury.
3:40 – Donnie Jones with a short punt to midfield, but the Vikings fumble and Trey Burton picks up the ball at the Minnesota 49 yard line. That’s Minnesota’s fourth turnover of the day. Only had one entering the game.

3:39 – Jalen Mills will return to the game. He was cramping.
3:35 – After being dominated on the run in that last drive, the Eagles’ defense comes up big with two big stops on third down and fourth down with a yard to go. Eagles take over deep in their own territory.
3:30 – END OF THE THIRD QUARTER: The Eagles lead the Vikings, 18-3, but Minnesota is currently driving in the Eagles’ redzone.
3:28 – Jalen Mills is down on the field, but walked off on his own power. Only Nolan Carroll and Leodis McKelvin are the other available corners after Ron Brooks was carted off the field.
3:18 – Jason Peters had a biceps injury, but he’s cleared to return.
3:14 – TOUCHDOWN: Dorial Green-Beckham gets his first touchdown as an Eagle on a five-yard catch. Eagles lead the Vikings, 18-3, 5:45 left in the third quarter.

2:55 – Vikings receive the ball the begin the second half at their own 25-yard line.
2:54 – Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo has been ruled out with an ankle injury. Injured himself returning Wentz’s first interception.

2:39 – FIELD GOAL: Caleb Sturgis hits a 35-yard field goal try to give the Eagles an 11-3 lead with seven seconds left in the opening half.
2:35 – Ryan Mathews gets a big run after a lackluster first half and puts the Eagles inside the redzone with 20 seconds left in the half.
2:27 – TURNOVER: Rodney McLeod strip sacks Bradford and Beau Allen recovers the football. Eagles take over near midfield. He’s the first Eagle with a sack, interception and forced fumble in the same game since Quintin Mikell did it against the Titans in 2010.

2:18 – Maragos had a calf injury and is cleared to return, according to the team.
2:12 – Chris Maragos is getting tended to after the kickoff. He walked off on his own power.
2:09 – TOUCHDOWN: Josh Huff returns the kickoff 98-yards for a touchdown. Caleb Sturgis hits the PAT, but gets ran into and the Eagles go for two and convert on a Carson Wentz sneak. Eagles lead, 8-3, with 8:48 left in the half. It’s the first time in franchise history the Eagles have had kickoff returns in back-to-back games.

2:03 – FIELD GOAL: Blair Walsh makes a 48-yard try to give the Vikings a 3-0 lead with 9:01 left in the first half.
2:01 – Kamu Grugier-Hill has a hamstring injury and is questionable to return.

1:47 – END OF THE FIRST QUARTER: Five turnovers highlight a very sloppy scoreless quarter. Carson Wentz with two interceptions in the opening quarter, but the Eagles are driving.
1:45 – Ron Brooks has a right knee injury and he’s done for the remainder of the game.

1:38 – Ron Brooks down after the third down stop and carted off the field. He’s been battling through a calf injury for this week. Eagles have Nolan Carroll, Jalen Mills, and Leodis McKelvin active at corner today, with rookie C.J. Smith inactive. Malcolm Jenkins might move to the slot corner spot.
1:36 – Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo was injured during Wentz’s first interception. He’s been carted off to the locker room for further evaluations.

1:31 – TURNOVER: Xavier Rhodes intercepts Wentz at the Vikings 40-yard line. It’s the fifth turnover in this game, and it’s still the first quarter.
1:29 – Jenkins was down by contact at the 24-yard line, so the touchdown doesn’t count. After the facemask penalty, the Eagles will start on their own 39-yard line.
1:25 – TURNOVERS: Darren Sproles fumbles and the Vikings recover. On the next play, Barwin strip sacks Bradford and Malcolm Jenkins recovers the football and returns it to the endzone for a touchdown. They’ll review the score.

1:17 – INTERCEPTION: Carson Wentz’s intended pass for Brent Celek gets picked off by Andrew Sendejo and returns it to the one-yard line.
1:13 – Vikings forced to punt again. Darren Sproles signals for a fair catch at the 10-yard line.
1:10 – Vikings go three-and-out on their first drive. But Kamu Grugier-Hill gets called for running into the punter and gives the Vikings a first down.
